Puttering
I've been lying low a bit on beastmaster. I've been in the mood to play warrior. Having a Rajas ring and a flame ring are a treat :) It's good to play warrior sometimes because I pick merits that will benefit both WAR and BST. One more merit session and I will be able to get another MP merit, which is so helpful as an elvaan beastmaster.
Today I felt like playing beastmaster. It's hard to find a solo camp for level 61 so I decided to go back down to the canal. I had just arrived at the entrance when a friend sent me a tell about doing an escort quest. I agreed as long as we could do a different escort than our usual one (Crawler's Nest). He said ok, so we got a couple of friends and geared up to go into Garlaige for an escort!
It was fun. We lost the first time because our client decided to run into some skeletons without us realizing what was going on. But the second time we won easily. I used a jug pet the first time and realized that's not a good idea. It's much easier to charm the aggressive monsters in the escort client's path.
After completing the escort I went back to the canal but another beastmaster (a ls mate) was down there. I let him be and decided to go explore some in the canal. I finally completed the quests to get the map and I wanted to go see the center of the map.
I made it there in one piece and was very saddened at what I saw - huge roots covered with black rot :( How can I save my beautiful Windurst...
Disheartened I left there and went up to the range. I didn't go to the snoll camp this time, but right to the tunnel at H-11. I used bunnies and battled tigers and the occassional snoll. The experience was good, but I was really just puttering around, a little dejected.
My BST linkshell is about to go through a merger with another big linkshell on Bismarck. I'm excited about the merger but the talk of it, and what to name the shell is stressful. It's gotten a lot of people being a bit harsh and it's not fun. I'll be relieved when it's finally done with.
One more note, I finally cleared Dynamis-Xarcabard on warrior this weekend, so I am completely cleared through the original Dynamis locations :)
