Canal Access
Last night was a whirlwind night of heading all over the world. Today was quite busy as well.
Last night I went as warrior to help a friend camp for a Jelly Ring. It was a pretty fun time, too. After we finished that went to Eldieme Necropolis and killed the Lich C Magnus over the hume bones. I received a blue ribbon for this and took it to Windy. Turning it in allowed me to progress to the next quest and earn access to Toraimarai Canal from Windy Walls! I peeked into the canal last night but was too tired to camp, so I headed back to my cozy windy mog house and went to sleep!
Today I geared up and headed in. I don't have a map of the area, but luckily camp is very close to the zoneline. Pets are bats which con Decent Challenge and Even match to me at level 60. Prey is skeletons, which con Even Match and Tough. There are two kinds of skeletons, one kind with a scythe and one kind with a club. The scythe-wielders are black mages. The club-wielders are melee.
The camp worked immediatly. I'd charm a bat (they do aggro) and if needed I'd sneak up. Then I'd move towards a skeleton and order my pet to fight it. The skeletons aggro sound but do not link. Then I ran back to the base of the staircase where I entered the canal and heeled my pet and prey in.
Sometimes I fight the black mage skeletons right from the start and sometimes I med a little mp while my pet fights. I usually fight right along with my pet on the melee skeletons because they hit very hard. I've had to use pet food some and Courier Carrie occassionally. The couple of times I've used him I've ended up kiting up and down the stairs because it's hard for CC to get hate off of me :(
It has been a good camp though, exp is steady. It's directly at a zoneline. I haven't had to zone yet but it's comforting to know that its there. And if you've been reading my journals thusfar you know that my favorite camp is one right beside a city. This camp is charmed because it's right by Windy, my home city :)
